YELLOWSTONE GOES AQUA.

As we have all come to know, Jake has a couple of different obsessions when it comes to earth, nature, and photography. Architecture and skies being two of those more eminent obsessions. These few days in Yellowstone were spent fangirling over and capturing vivid skies. The clouds were phenomenal. I was breath-taken the entirety of the trip.

Keep reading to hear more about the trip and earth! Keep reading even further for a special little announcement 🙂

Yellowstone never disappoints. For that matter, our precious national parks never disappoint. We are blessed to have a society that allocates such a significant portion of resources to these parks. Keep taking advantage of these parks and the experience that they have to offer. Keep taking care of these parks and every square inch of this magnificent planet. Keep taking care of our home and backyard!

In relation to taking care of our parks, I have a few favorite park initiatives. (No I’m not talking about Parks and Rec lol). My first is Parks Project, check them out here. I can’t wait to get some of their apparel one of these days. They are consciously giving back to the parklands and it’s not going unnoticed. They work in so many different interfaces to protect, preserve, and provide.

My second favorite initiative is simple. It is mindful humans. Those friends that don’t need to be asked or instructed. Those that naturally and instinctively do their part. Those that have been taught or have made the decision to be the change that they want to see. Sustainability starts from us and that will always hold true.

There is so much more to learn to become the most sustainable stewards of our earth’s irreplaceable environment. Educate yourself on this matter. On that note, educate yourself in every way possible. That is one of the most valuable uses of our time and who knows what special experience you’ll have/special person you’ll meet in the process. I know that I have truly met many friends that share this spirit and care. The world is astonishing when we make it a priority to see it and care for it!

I know that’s most of you and I’m grateful for the care you have for what we’ve been given, preservation, and for future generations. In the words of Passion Pit, “take a walk” with me. Who wants to go hiking this summer? Race to pick up as much trash as we can? 😉

oKAYYYYYYY, so you read far enough to hear my itty bitty big news! I’m going to be launching an “amateur” online print shop here on the blog in the near future. Hopefully have it posted by the end of the summer and work out any kinks throughout the fall. This is something new for me, but my photography and the urge to share it, is all but new!

With this print shop, I’m planning four styles to be offered- RAW, BRIGHT, DREAMY, and VINTAGE. With these offerings I want there to be a photograph of mine for everyone. I’m a diverse kind of guy with multiple styles and moods, so I want you each to be able to relate to and enjoy the pieces that I compose.

This blog post would a great example of mostly BRIGHT with a bit of DREAMY in the mix!

Starting out, I will be offering solely 5×7 prints with white borders, but if demand and interest grows, who knows what we will be able to expand into :). Hopefully I won’t be that annoying neighbor to you, selling his art down your throat, but rather that these photographs will build a bridge and relationship, and a print on your wall representing that bridge!

As I prepare these prints, more information to come! I’m really excited for this and would love any support that you have to give. Share my blog, share the word, share the love. You my friends are my favorite people <3

Talk to you soon, I’ll be sharin’ many more photographs even sooner! Make sure to keep up with me on instagram @jakeytyne 🙂
