GOLDBUG HOT SPRINGS.

If you are ever traveling to or passing through Southeastern/Central Idaho, I would eagerly recommend hopping over to Elk Bend, Idaho.  With a moderate two mile hike, you are presented with the glorious, Goldbug Hot Springs.

The warm, mind-blowing pools of water are a wonderful reward after about an hour’s span of hiking up the modest trail.  Three different pools scattered across a hillside allow for plenty of adventurers to bask in relaxation and enjoy the expansive picturesque view!

Spring and summer are considered to be the best seasons to visit, to avoid those snowy roads and snowy trails.  When I first visited this spot, I was able to get a nice tan started under the May sun (I still got a spray tan like a week later…….lol).

Breathtaking purple flowers and sage-brush line the trail, expressing those warm minty green tones with dashes of bright purple and highlighter yellow, here and there.  As you hike up, you are also kindly greeted by the soothing cadence of the rushing Warm Spring Creek.

Mother earth brings on a resolve that is profoundly unique to nature. I feel pain diminish, stress alleviate, and a whole generated sense of renewed connection with my self, my body, and my goals.

Even more sacred for me, the presence of my dad around me.

I hope that you can perceive this resolve and feel mutually renewed from the fibers and atoms of our beautiful natural surroundings!

“Take a hike”- To that I say, I sure will!

Take some time in this new year to get outdoors! Maybe head up to Idaho and snag me on your way and we can experience Goldbug together!

Where is/what is your favorite hike?

your friend, Jake
